NACCE 2013 Keynote Speakers

Wendy Torrance
Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Wendy Torrance, director, entrepreneurship, provides leadership for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s work in entrepreneurship, with a focus on education and curriculum. From 2007–2012, Torrance served as the founding director of the Kauffman Foundation’s Global Scholars Program. In addition, Torrance established the Foundation’s Global Faculty Visitors Program, which provides faculty from abroad training in teaching entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Torrance was assistant dean of freshmen and lecturer on social studies at Harvard University, where she also was appointed director of undergraduate student programs at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. Torrance is the author of several scholarly articles on international environmental politics. Torrance has a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University, where she was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship.
