Napa Valley College business center wins award

The Napa Valley College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) was recently awarded the SBDC Team Award for highest economic impact for Northern California, and has been recognized by the Northern California SBDC regional network for outstanding performance in 2011, a news release said.

The SBDC Team Award was presented to Napa Valley College SBDC for providing the highest economic impact in Northern California and the Bay Area.

Beth Pratt, Napa Valley College Career Technical Education and Workforce Development director, and the SBDC team accepted the award during the All-Network Conference held in Berkeley on Feb. 3.

It was attended by more than 150 SBDC affiliates and business representatives from Northern California.

"Iā€™m extremely proud that our SBDC, which is the smallest in the region, has been recognized as providing the highest assistance to our local communities,ā€ Pratt said. "This is a testament to the great team of business advisers that we have at Napa SBDC and the solid partnerships we have with our business community.ā€
