Make or Break: The First 30-Seconds of a Sale

An Introduction to Ultimate Sales Academy

Mason City, IA – Feb. 3, 2009 - If you had exceeded your 2008 sales plan, what would the effect on your business have been? During the Entrepreneurship Exchange, to be held Tuesday, February, 17, you will create your own 30-second speech that can improve your chances. This FREE presentation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Room 104G, McAllister Hall, North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), Mason City.

Jerry Wells and Tom Guerdet, USA instructors, will present an intense 90-minute session on how you can develop your own make or break 30 second speech. Wells gained his experience while serving in sales positions for Amco Steel Corporation, as a COO of four companies, and as a Lean Manufacturing instructor for companies throughout North America. Guerdet, also a Lean Manufacturing instructor and adjunct business instructor at Simpson College in Indianola, earned his work experience while employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Iowa as a member of the sales, consulting and training departments. 

A successful launch for your 2009 sales plan should include a preview of USA. To help create the road map necessary to reach your sales goals for 2009, USA can assist you to develop a successful route to achieve those goals. USA is a high quality interactive course that includes video role playing, performance feedback and after class follow-up.  “It’s focusing that energy in the sales area that a lot of times you know the subject, you know the company, but in order to portray that and put that out to the person is not always an easy thing,” said Travis Carlsen, a graduate of USA. The 30-second speech is one element used by USA to introduce your product, services and company.
