Mason City, IA – April 3, 2009 - Franchising is an option that can provide you with the strategic points to develop a successful plan, profitable business and the chance to follow your dream by doing something you love. Most entrepreneurs that go into business often know “how” to do the technical work of their business, but may be missing strategic points in their business plan. Evaluating whether a franchise is in your future will be the focus for the NIACC Entrepreneurs’ Exchange, set for April 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Room 104g at McAllister Hall on the NIACC campus.

Rick and Joan Huedepohl, both graduates of the E-Source Academy – a rigorous training on coaching, franchising and self-employment options, provide a team approach to their business partnership as E-Source coaches. They combine their expertise as independent business brokers with their E-Source training to provide B2B coaching and support to existing business. During the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange, the Huedepohls will show you how to evaluate the Five Strengths of Franchising and how to determine whether a franchise business is right for you.

To ensure adequate space and refreshments for everyone, RSVPs for the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange are appreciated. For vendors who market goods or services, a limited number of FREE display tables are available. Please email or call Liz at 641-422-4384 or toll-free at 1-888-GO NIACC, ext. 4384.

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is located on the North Iowa Area Community College campus in Mason City, Iowa and provides college level courses and degree programs in entrepreneurship, as well as consulting services for business start-ups and existing industries in the North Iowa region.  The Center also provides FastTrac ® training programs both for start-up companies and established companies.  Space is also available in the North Iowa Business Incubator for start-up businesses.  For more information, contact the NIACC JPEC at 641-422-4342.
