A Tour of 2 Maker Spaces
Tuesday, October 13, 2015; 6:00-9:00 pm

Are you considering opening up a FabLab or Maker Space? Do you want to see new ways to utilize excess space and how manufacturing and tinkering intersect with entrepreneurship? Join us on the Houston Maker Space tour where we will explore two venues and learn about their different approach to making.

Houston Makerspace is a 21,000 square foot warehouse where creatives gather. Thoughts and concepts are fabricated, tested, incubated and developed into highly valued works of genius. The space is comprised of six workshops:  Wood, Metal, Rapid Prototyping, Print, Ceramics, Jewelry, and Textiles, as well as multiple community areas, such as the Classroom, Conference Room, Photography Studio, Community Garden, and Kitchenette.
