6 KY Presidents sign the PFEP

Last week NACCE hosted a workshop prior to the SOAR Summit focused on design thinking and fundraising for the Kentucky Community College Presidents. Dr. Rebecca Corbin, NACCE's President & CEO, spoke about the importance of leading with an entrepreneurial mindset and how Community College Presidents can commit to taking entrepreneurial action on their campuses and in their communities by signing the Presidents for Entrepreneurship Pledge (PFEP). We were pleased that six of the Presidents opted to sign the PFEP and we are excited to see how these leaders address the challenges in the region through an entrepreneurial lens. Thanks to Dr. Larry Ferguson, Dr. John Rainone, and Joe Kapp for collaborating on the workshop training.

The six Presidents that signed the PFEP included:

  • Dr. Vic Adams, Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College
  • Dr. Jennifer Lindon, Hazard Community and Technical College (re-committed to the pledge)
  • Dr. Fernando Figueroa, Gateway Community and Technical College
  • Dr. Kay Adkins, Ashland Community and Technical College
  • Dr. Anthony Newberry, Big Sandy Community and Technical College
  •  Dr. Steve Vacik, Maysville Community and Technical College
